Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before reserving your spot at the Welcome to ATL Experience during FIFA World Cup 2026.

Placement & Zones
How are vendors selected for the different zones? +

Placement in the activation zones is first come, first served based on the match days or packages you select. Our onboarding process includes a short assessment to confirm adherence to FIFA Clean Zone regulations — you can complete it directly on our website before purchasing.

Placement is confirmed upon submission. We also have a number of additional Welcome to ATL experiences that can guarantee placement outside of FIFA Clean Zones, ensuring you reach your target number of customers regardless of category restrictions.

Can I sell my items in a clean zone if a sponsor owns that category? +

Steele Bridge at Centennial Yards, The Center Atlanta, and South Downtown are within the FIFA Clean Zones, so category exclusivity restrictions do apply to certain product types.

That said, we have options. We offer mobile cart formats in addition to static spots, which allow for more flexibility in range and perimeter reach based on the flow of foot traffic. We also have sponsor integrations that may open up additional opportunities for your category.

How much surrounding space can I activate for branding or additional service? +

Each vendor's activation is contained within their reserved footprint — either a 10×10 or 10×20 space. Within that footprint you can absolutely maximize — a photo moment, a second service line, a branded display, or a sampling station all work well in that square footage.

Is it possible to secure a second adjacent unit for one or two match windows? +

Yes. Purchase two spaces and we'll place them adjacent to each other so your activation can expand as needed. Reach out after checkout to confirm your preference.

Can I bring a complementary partner vendor into my space to share the footprint on select match days? +

Absolutely — collaboration between vendors is welcome. You're free to partner with another business and share your footprint. We'll just need to align on signage and co-branding before your activation date.

Costs & Payments
What are the costs required to participate? +

Placement fees vary by venue, format (Culture Stand vs. Experience House), and the number of match days you select. Full pricing is available at vendors.welcometoatlexperience.com.

In addition to placement fees, all vendors pay 30% of gross sales during event days — below the industry standard of 40%. We'll help you develop a revenue plan to maximize your return on that investment.

Is there flexibility on the deposit amount or payment schedule? +

Yes — we understand cash flow is a real consideration as you prep inventory and staffing. A few options:

  • Shop Pay Installments: Check whether installment options are available at checkout.
  • Showcase Atlanta Sponsorships: Limited sponsorship opportunities through our partner Showcase Atlanta may be available to offset costs.
  • Direct payment plans: We're happy to work out a payment plan case by case to make sure no one gets left out. Full deposit vendors will receive priority placement.

For payment plan inquiries, reach out to Candace at candace@cvmworldwide.com.

What cost categories are the activation planning projections based on? +

Our projections factor in: cart and container manufacturing, permitting and licensing, insurance, power and electrical, staffing (event management and security), signage and wayfinding, site fees, marketing and influencer budget, and miscellaneous operational costs.

We work through these line items with you during onboarding to help you plan accordingly.

Can you provide a letter of intent or placement confirmation for grant and financing applications? +

Yes — we can issue a Letter of Intent (LOI) confirming your space once a deposit is made. This serves as your formal documentation for Invest Atlanta grants, financing applications, or any other opportunity that requires proof of participation.

Operations & Logistics
What do I need to provide in order to have a successful activation? +

We serve as your back-office support team to make sure your business wins during the World Cup. Here's what you're responsible for:

  • Your product and inventory at the necessary quantity levels, plus any specialized equipment
  • Your staff for your cart on your match days
  • A valid business license and all required permits
  • Proof of liability insurance ($1M minimum)

We also host weekly group support sessions every Wednesday to help with capacity planning, working capital needs, and overall match-day preparedness. These are included in your activation.

Will permitting be handled collectively, or do vendors file individually? +

Each vendor is responsible for obtaining their own individual permits. If you operate out of a certified commercial kitchen, factor that into your permit requirements. We'll guide you through what's needed during the onboarding and support sessions.

For business license, permits, and liability insurance — what address should I use? +

The address for your permits depends on your assigned zone and will be provided in your Letter of Intent upon deposit. Liability insurance must cover a minimum of $1 million.

Are there any product categories that are not permitted? +

Yes. The sale or service of alcohol and counterfeit goods is strictly prohibited at all Welcome to ATL Experience activations. This applies to all venues and match days without exception.

Vendors found in violation will be removed from the event without refund and may be subject to further action. By reserving your spot, you confirm that your products and services comply with this policy.

What are the details on the central storage pod — capacity, refrigeration, and access hours? +

Storage and replenishment pods will be available on-site near each venue. We're finalizing the specifics and will share full details — including capacity, refrigeration availability, and access hours — as part of your onboarding experience.
